COLORADO SCHOOL BARS TRANSGENDERED FIRST GRADER FROM USING GIRLS' RESTROOM

6- year old Coy Mathis was born male, but identifies female and dresses as a girl. His passport and state issued identification recognise him as female. In the first half of the school year he used the female restroom in his school. He wants to continue to use the female restroom in the second half of the school year. But school officials won't allow him, the decision to him was taken by the school board last December. He has been told to use the boys restroom, gender-neutral faculty bathrooms or the nurses bathroom. In making the decision, the district took into account not only Coy, but other students in the building, their parents and the future impact of a boy with male genitals using a gir's bathroom would have as Coy grew older. His parents are going to court to challenge the decision on the grounds of discrimination.- CNN
