What’s the going rate for selling a two-year-old and a 10-month-old? Apparently pretty cheap if you’re Oklahoma mom Misty VanHorn.

Police say that VanHorn used Facebook to negotiate a deal for one of her children.
VanHorn, 22, was initially trying to sell the children as a duo for $4,000. When a woman in Fort Smith, Ark. negotiated with her, they eventually settled on a price of $1,000 for just the two-year-old girl.
KFOR reports that VanHorn sent a Facebook message saying, “Just come to Sallisaw, it’s only 30 minutes away and I’ll give you all of her stuff and let y’all have her forever for $1,000.”
A neighbor said that VanHorn had previously gone around the neighborhood looking for money in an effort to secure bail for her unidentified boyfriend.
The children were taken into custody after the Ark. woman alerted the Oklahoma Department of Human Services about the final offer from VanHorn.
VanHorn is currently being held on a $40,000 bond and faces charges of trafficking minors.
I sincerely hope this mother gets the help she needs. I mean, she should never get her kids back or be allowed to birth any more, obviously. But she could probably use a little more help with her business skills. $4,000 for two little white kids AND you’d have settled for $1,000? My God. It’s like they don’t even have child trafficking negotiation classes at local Oklahoma schools.
