Doctors handwriting leads to the death of thousands every year

Two people in the United States just died in the last hour, 17 more will die in the next 7 to 8 hours. Over a year, that number will accumulate to about 7,000. The high incidence of medical errors in Britain is estimated to lead to the death of over 30,000 people every year. Medical errors that include misread or misinterpreted handwritten prescriptions leads to death or disabilities. Believe it, this means doctors are being sloppy, pharmacists and pharmacies are making mistakes and people are getting dead every second of the day because of these nonsensical errors. Statistics from the National Academics of Science shows that preventable medication mistakes also injure more than 1.5 million Americans Annually. Many of the errors result from unclear abbreviations and dosage indications, and illegible writing on some of the 3.2 billion prescriptions written in the United states. In 1999, an American cardiologist caused the death of a 42-year-old patient when his prescription of 20mg Isordil, an antianginal drug was misread as plendil, an antihypentensive drug. Folks, please share this among your friends and family, always take the pains to ask your doctors to explain whatever they write for you. Misinterpreted doctors handing by lab scientist leads to wrong diagnoses, wrong treatment and death.
