80-year-old drugged and robbed

Lagos- An 80-year-old man Godwin Faworinshe, claims that he was drugged and robbed by his 49-year-old mistress Funmilola Adesanyan. Godwin told a magistrate court in Yaba that he promised Funmilola that he will give her an undisclosed amount of money to to start a business of her choice, but impatience led Funmilola into druging and robbing him. Godwin told the court that he went out on certain day, got home late and asked his mistress to help him his medications, he drank his drugs and slept off minutes after. It took the intervention of his tenants for him to wake up the next day, was told Funmilola left the compound very early when he asked after her. There after Godwin searched his apartment and discovered that his mistress left with his 172,000. Funmilola who was arrested after 13 days admitted during police interrogations that she drugged and stole Godwin's money, but pleaded not guilty in court.
