Crisis Averted at Abuja Airport, As Right engine of British Airways plane stopped working just before take-off.
Crisis that might have led to an air crash was averted this morning at the British Airways flight at the Abuja International Airport.
The BA 8:30 flight to London was preparing to take off when the right engine of the plane suddenly stopped working.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that there was a loud noise and then smoke was seen coming from the area where the engine was located, and that the plane had to be towed back to the tarmac.
passengers have been asked to leave the plane immediately and the flight has been cancelled for security reasons.(they can be seen in the photo above, with BA trying to get them comfortable with refreshments)
Thank God this didn't happen mid-air. it would have been disastrous.
