If anything happens to me tell my kids I love them

A woman who was stabbed to death in a US
apartment had left a chilling Facebook message
apparently warning her friends she was going to
be killed. Michelle Rowling, 25, was found by police in East
St Louis, Illinois, investigating calls of a
disturbance on Saturday. She was rushed to
hospital with multiple knife wounds, but was
pronounced dead on arrival. Last night Ms Rowling’s ex-boyfriend, 25-year-old
Montrell Cooper, turned himself in to police. He
had been wanted for breaching a probation order
not to have any contact with the victim. Officers said he was a person of interest in her
death, according to reports from the Illinois news
channel KSDK. Cooper was jailed in August for assaulting Ms
Rowling, and had previously avoided jail in a
domestic violence trial after she testified in his
favour. Chilling details have now emerged of the week
leading up to Ms Rowling’s death. On Tuesday 26 November at 3.49am the mother
of two wrote a public Facebook status which read:
“SOOOOOOOO IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME
TONIGHT JUST LET MY KIDS KNOW I LOVED
THEM DEARLY AND TELL MY MOMMA I LOVE
HER.” Friends and fellow social media users told her not
to “say things like that” and call the police, to
which she responded: “THE POLICE… LOL IM
GONE B GONE BOUT TIME THEY COME.” Later that morning, Ms Rowling wrote: “I’m
good… I just heard some news that's it.” Family
members now allege that the news she referred to
was Cooper’s release from prison. He was freed
on Monday 25 November. St. Clair County State's Attorney Brendan Kelly
confirmed to KSDK that Cooper had indeed been
jailed for assaulting Ms Rowling, and police said
that in one incident last year she arrived at City
Hall with blood pouring from her neck, saying
Cooper had stabbed her. No charges have yet been filed in the case. Officers
added that Ms Rowling’s children are staying with
her family members.
