Man sent dying wife
Christmas card after

and running her over ......... Minta Adiddo attacked Akua Agyeman over
flirty texts sent to a neighbour as she slept
with their baby daughter - he has been
jailed for 17 years A man who sent his dying wife a Christmas
card begging her to forgive him after
stabbing her 15 times and running her over
has been jailed for 17 years. Minta Adiddo, 38, blamed Satan, writing:
"Please, please, please, I need forgiveness
from you.” The Old Bailey heard he attacked Akua Agyeman, 32, over flirty texts sent to a
neighbour as she slept with their baby
daughter. She escaped through a window but he
jumped in his car and ran her over last
November 6. Convicting Adiddo, of Enfield, North London,
of murder, the judge told him: “I accept this was not a planned killing but was done out
of frustration and temper and in my view
was cowardly and selfish. "You intended to kill her and you must take
responsibility for you actions. This was a
shocking waste of a vibrant life and loss of a
mother which will be long felt. "The family describe your wife as a loving
sister, caring of her children and of her
extended family in Ghana. "She provided assistance to her father and
others - they feel betrayed by your actions
and it is apparent your daughter is badly
affected. "Ms Aygeman played an active part in the
family and they are still struggling with their
loss that she will be gone forever but she will
not be forgotten. "These were terrible acts - you continued to
cause further injuries with a knife and used
your vehicle, leading to inevitable and major
damage. "In effect these were three separate and
determined attacks. "It was witnessed by your elder daughter
who it appears attempted to stop you." Ms Agyeman was taken to The Royal
London Hospital, Whitechapel, east London,
for treatment but died of multiple organ
failure and multiple injuries nearly two
months later on January 3.
