A WOMAN who pushed a suicidal friend 25ft off a bridge and into the path of an oncoming train was yesterday jailed for attempted murder.

Victoria Dickinson, 28, sat next to troubled Kate Wiggett and counted to three with her before shoving her off the bridge.
Kate, 28, was pulled from the tracks by passers-by as a train approached. She suffered multiple injuries including a fractured skull and spent a month in a coma – but has made a full recovery.
Nottingham Crown Court heard Kate had told pals she wanted to kill herself by jumping off a bridge but was “too scared to do it herself”.

Prosecutors said “callous” mum-of-six Dickinson made no attempt to help Kate or talk her out of suicide and was “too ready” to take part in her death.
She was arrested at her home after fleeing the scene near Malvern, Worcs. She told police she did not want to kill her friend but Kate had “kept on and on about it”.
Jailing her for three years and four months, a judge said Dickinson should have refused to help Kate commit suicide despite her repeated requests.
The court heard Kate has no memory of the incident, but “struggles to comprehend” how her pal could have pushed her.
